Impacto da psicoeducação em pacientes com câncer a partir da percepção de um grupo de pacientes especialistas

Introdução: A resposta humana ao diagnóstico de câncer pode incluir modificação de suas atividades, vida diária e independência, e consequentemente gerar uma afetação em seu bem-estar. A psicoeducação apoia o processo de adaptabilidade e compreensão do paciente, para favorecer seu tratamento, adesão, autopercepção e esperança diante dos diversos momentos típicos da história natural da doença. Objetivo: analisar como intervenções psicoeducativas podem melhorar a percepção de bem-estar emocional em um grupo de pacientes com câncer na Fundação Santafé de Bogotá. Materiais e métodos: estudo misto desenvolvido entre 2019 e 2020 com 112 pacientes lotados no serviço de oncologia da Fundação Santafé de Bogotá. Foram realizadas 17 oficinas psicoeducativas, após as quais foi aplicada uma pesquisa de satisfação e desenvolvidas 10 entrevistas semiestruturadas. Resultados: 87% dos participantes eram mulheres, 94% ficaram satisfeitos com a metodologia das oficinas, 97% indicaram que os temas foram inovadores e que conseguiram sanar dúvidas. Entre os achados qualitativos, os participantes relataram que as oficinas foram úteis para melhorar seu enfrentamento, que a metodologia foi adequada e do seu agrado e que desejam que as oficinas durem no tempo. Conclusão: O desenvolvimento de oficinas psicoeducativas voltadas para pessoas com câncer é uma estratégia viável em ambientes hospitalares e, além disso, é relatada como útil, interessante e promotora do bem-estar emocional das pessoas. Intervenções protocoladas com avaliação dos efeitos sobre os resultados relatados pelo paciente devem ser testadas.
