Generating elements of business success in young university entrepreneurs in Colombia
Abstract
Problem: University graduates who have completed their studies tend to have the goal of starting a business venture. However, in the planning of projects they often do not consider the aspects that can lead to business success. Hence, every time they initiate the entrepreneurial process they fail to meet all their goals and give up, putting an end to the business. Objective: The main objective of this research project is to determine what variables contribute to generating business success and how much they affect each other. Materials and Methods: The methodology implemented in this research is correlational, whose non-experimental method involves the analysis of two or more variables. For this purpose, an instrument was used that allowed collecting necessary information for data interpretation through a questionnaire with 11 items applied to 35 university students from the American University Corporation of Colombia. Results: The main results showed a high correlation between the application of innovative projects for business planning, since innovation requires a functional plan to achieve business success, in addition to the correlation of social recognition to remain positioned, which would indicate that society is a factor that impacts success, although there may be other factors that also determine it. Conclusions: It is concluded that there are several elements that influence business success, such as education, business activities, society, as well as innovation and planning, which must be considered before launching a project. Contribution: This work contributes to the analysis and identification of students' characteristics to determine actions that can help improve their development as young entrepreneurs. Originality: There is no previous study related to this topic, so it is considered an original topic, since no research of that nature has been conducted within the university or in that city of Tunja, Colombia.
