Abstract

My paper aims to make a theoretical and methodological discussion of new social forms of production of social inequality through the dissemination of styles of dynamic and hypermodern life among the new elites of advanced capitalism. The case study of young highly skilled professionals, members of the “creative class”, help me to analyze the edges of the discourse of cognitive capitalism from the study of amateur sport practiced how the social space of time. The sociology of social inequalities, especially that proposed by Robert Castel, and relational theory of Norbert Elias, are the two pillars upon which analyze the transmission and reproduction of a new class culture.
